Remember--if you want the books signed (with a small sketch) you will have to ask for it. The site does say that if you would like it signed you have to inquire.
The HCs are shrink-wrapped, and some of you may want the pleasure of tearing it off yourself so would prefer an unsigned copy.

Oh no! I would like mine signed and sketched...Feel free to unwrap it, sign it and draw something amazing. I didn't realize that was an option with these. Hopefully mine hasn't shipped out yet!Stan Sakai wrote:Remember--if you want the books signed (with a small sketch) you will have to ask for it. AHHH! Same with me! I ordered mine a few days ago. I thought that your site said that they were all signed. Hopefully it is not too late! How can I check if it is too late or not???

Re: Volume 4 AP available through Stan's Website
Stan, I just double checked your site and the Usagi Saga Volume 4 HC AP copies link has written at the bottom of the product description "The Artist proofs are all signed."
If this is not correct, your site needs to be corrected.

All the limited edition hardcovers are signed on the tip-in plate. I believe Stan is referring to an additional signature and sketch beyond what is on the tip-in plate.

Steve is correct. All the limited hardcovers (including APs) are signed on the tip-ins. I was referring to an additional signature in the book as well as a small sketch. I've stopped doing sketches on the tip-in because they were taking way too long to do drawings on 1700 tips (edition of 1500+Artist Proofs+Publisher Proofs+binding problems). Sorry for the confusion.Steve Hubbell wrote:All the limited edition hardcovers are signed on the tip-in plate. Well, fingers crossed that my copy makes it to you before shipping out. If not, lesson learned, although not a fun lesson to learnStan Sakai wrote:Steve is correct. Super. No problem. I, like Trevis, would love a small sketch but I also completely understand if it is too late.Stan Sakai wrote:Steve is correct. Trevis and Buck--Your signed (and sketched) books will be on their way to you soon.
The Saga 4 HCs are an edition of 1500 and comes already signed with a small head sketch on the tip-ins. This is the last time I did those head sketches. It took me a full week to do those, as opposed to less than 2 days to just sign Saga 5.
Again, if you would like a second signature with a larger sketch in the ordered books, just ask.

The Dark Horse website has it listed as 900. Good to know it stayed at 1500.Stan Sakai wrote:The Saga 4 HCs are an edition of 1500 and comes already signed with a small head sketch on the tip-ins.

Re: Volume 4 AP available through Stan's Website
Hm, I had pre-ordered my HC copy of #4 from Amazon months ago. But after receiving the email about the AP copy from the site, along with the comments here, I've decided to go ahead and order my copy from there. (At the time, they had 13 copies available)
And yes, Stan, I did contact the site about the possibility of having the additional signature and sketch for the book too. A wonderful opportunity, thank you very much.

Re: Volume 4 AP available through Stan's Website
For anyone who doesn't already have the volume 4 HC, there are still copies of the AP available on the site. I just ordered one, and used the contact page to add a request for an added signature and sketch if possible. Thank you for making these available.
