*UPDATE*

I'm starting to lose hope. Let's see what I've done in the past month...

*Joined two Chicago based cosplayer forums
*Joined two C2E2 related forums
*Joined an Anime group
*Joined the CGC and CBCS forums
*Joined the CBR forums
*Searched reddit
*Searched through thousands of photos on Facebook and Instagram
*Then contacted random people on Facebook and Instagram if they posted a public photo with the badge anywhere in it. I actually felt weird doing that.
*Contacted C2E2 directly
*Contacted around 10 dealers in the Chicago area. Misplaced my checklist and decided not to start over.
*Checked eBay every morning for any item related to C2E2. I've seen a fair amount of badges but never the one I'm looking for.
*And last but not least I hired a pack of Basset Hounds to help in the search. They came highly recommended.

There's your problem right there. You should have gone with the Elmer Hound. They're vewy vewy good at hunting wabbits.

The hounds I hired are masters of disguise! If that doesn't work I'll go the Elmer route.

The one that is disguised as a grape hyacinth did a fantastic job of disguise.

The hounds have been relieved of their duties. Very disappointed in their work ethic.



*I offered up a portion of my stimulus check and couldn't even get one response (Close to 8000 members). I'm starting to believe Mayhem is correct and most of the badges were tossed after the convention.

*UPDATE*

I had one more idea before giving up.

I decided to start writing to anyone on eBay whose location was in the Chicago area and their item title included C2E2 2018.

Brilliant!


Well, after getting rejection after rejection I decided to call it quits. Felt like high school all over again.

I've had similar fortune contacting people in UK and Europe who are selling copies of issue #60. Everyone who has replied so far has the Katsuichi variant, so still looking for the Kojo version!

I FOUND ONE! I'm not going to jinx it and say the quest is over, but I feel really good about it. As a bonus, I also found a HeroesCon 2019 badge (Usagi/Groo). Now all I have to do is wait by the mailbox.

I contacted the Event Manager from C2E2 and he said that he couldn't check his offices at this time, but he did have a set at his house and that he'd send me his SUNDAY KIDS badge. I let him know that we* would be interested in any additional badges he could find. Stay tuned.
