Musashi 5 volume paperback Series by Eiji Yoshikawa on ebay

Post by Steve Hubbell »

The 5 Book Musashi Series by Eiji Yoshikawa in paperback is getting pretty hard to find, and it took me more than three years to aquire all five volumes for myself. I just recently found the last volume through Amazon from a store in Canada for the outrageous amount of $19.37 after shipping and handling.

So, it figures that a full set would show up on ebay for less than either of the last two volumes alone cost me. If you haven't read these, here is your chance to get them all at once...

MUSASHI by Eiji Yoshikawa. From the Era of "Shogun", the epic samurai series! A land racked by war and suffering. A warrior in search of his destiny- to become Japan's greatest hero. 150 years of strife have left Japan a war-torn wasteland. Out of the ashes a new hero is born- destined to be the greatest swordsman of all time. In 1605 the war between eastern and western Japan ended on the bloody battlefield of Sekigahara. The new Shogunate struggled to establish its power, and leaderless samurai roamed the country. But from the great martial arts temples to the royal castles of Osaka and Kyoto came word of a single swordsman challenging the heroes of the day. His name: Musashi, left for dead on the plain of Sekigahara, reborn under the guidance of a mysterious Buddhist monk, following the Way of the Sword and the Way of Truth. Beloved by women, acclaimed by men, Musashi's enemies die at his hands. In the greatest epic of the Orient, this is the authentic story a warrior's quest for the ultimate honor- and the unforgettable saga of a glorious age. Based on a real person in history. Originally written in serialized form between 1935- 1939. Im selling all five books of the series: Book 1- The Way of the Samurai, Book 2- The Art of War, Book 3- The Way of the Sword, Book 4- The Bushido Code, Book 5- The Way of Life and Death. Each book is about 350 pages in length.
