Help! finding new UY t-shirts

Post by Anjin-san »

Help! I want a UY t-shirt. I'd prefer buying it through my local comic shop in order to keep some of the money in the local economy.

Unfortunately, my local shop only orders through Diamond Distributors and they haven't solicited any UY t-shirts in the past few issues.

Can someone help me help out my comic store in ordering UY t-shirts for re-sale?

There hasn't been an Usagi t-shirt offered through distributors for quite awhile. Years ago, Comic Images was coming out with four designs a year.

I think the last t-shirt was the Dojo shirt offered to Dojo members. There was also an Anthrocon shirt, but that was sold only at the convention.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply.

One of the ebay marketplace sellers has some listed for "buy it now" purchase.

There was also an Usagi t-shirt produced relatively recently for the Seattle based Yushin Daiko Japanese American Taiko Group (more accurately, it was a Yushin Daiko t-shirt which featured Usagi playing a taiko drum, based on a sketch Stan presented to the leader of the group sometime back when he had occassion to watch and meet the group and try playing one of the drums). I'm actually wearing mine now :D

I bought a black/w gold lettering version and am very happy with mine (but I probably should have bought a large instead of medium  "

Good luck finding UY shirts.

Peace,

This is a good opportunity to mention that the UYD's 10th Anniversary T-shirts will be available early next year and will feature... well, you'll just have to wait (and no it will not be of Tomoe Ame in a low-cut kimono...). They'll be made available to UYD Members through Heritage Source, the UYD's official outlet for Dojo shirts. Stay tuned...
