What is really going on here???

Post by go »

Dear Reader,
How can the case say #1 and the book be a #4?
What is really going on here?
Thank you in advance for helping me understand.
Best wishes to all!

It can say that cuz its a mistake, Go.

Perhaps the dudes at CGC figured it was Volume 1 or something....meh, I hate the entire concept of CGC anyway...its a load of hooey...hooey, I tells ya.

Besides, 24 bucks seems a bit low, considering the comic is in a nice shiny plastic case. Usually that calls for a $100 sticker price.

My guess would be the seller and/or grader is an idiot. That is a question that needs to be asked over at the CGC forums...

Your mis-labelled comic has got them quarrelling with each other...
Please let me know if you find any more errors like this, this was fun...

Apparrently, the seller does not like to be asked about mistakes or have them pointed out.

Steve,
this is getting stranger by each posting.
What did you ask her?
Thank you very much Steve.
Your contributions are marvelous.
Yes I am looking for the Usagi Phantom card.
I am open to trading for one....
My real gripe is sealing comics up in plastic makes them hard to read.

Best wishes to all and thanks for the fun!

Wow, that seems like a extreme reaction. I don't know what Steve or Go asked them, but I can't imagine it was that rude to deserve that response.

Not to be mean, but we could easly report their auction to eBay as an auction that is not selling what is pictured. They are falsely advertising the auction as issue 1, when it's issue four. That's fraud, no?

Does anyone know if "Tinkle Drop" back-up story by Dennis Fujitake was in this issue #4 or issue #1. (I'm not a home to check right now).

I guess it doesn't matter, no one bid on that auction.

Peace,

maka

The seller ended the auction early, so maybe they will get the correct information together with the correct comic before they repost it.

I'm more curious as to who does the grading for their comics, seems they have comics listed as CGC graded as well as WAC (Warehouse Auction Center) graded.

9.4 and similar grades are supposed to be very fine / near mint, if I am not mistaken, but they have a 48 page square-bound comic listed as being a 9.+ but the spine is twisted flat with the cover??? Also, since Groo and Usagi are my favorite series, I wish they were worth what this seller is trying to sell them for just because they are stuck in plastic.

Abayo...

Oh well, god grant me serenity while Ebay is over-run by greedy little @$#%!
