This pin-up was drawn for Ka-Boom Studios, a Mexican publisher most noted for their giant robot comic Karma Tron.

I guess it was published, but I don't recall seeing it in print.

What exactly is a pin up? Is it original art or a print?

Simplified, a pin-up is a single page of art, usually contributed by a guest artist in an issue of another comic book series, i.e. an example could be a picture by Stan of Usagi and the Turtles in an issue of the TMNT. Technically, it is a page in the actual comic. Also, an artist can always include a pin-up in his own comic as well (the back cover artwork in Usagi can be considered pin-ups).

The illustration up for sale currently is the original art for such a pin-up.

A print is a single page of art created (or possibly re-used) and printed in varying amounts for the express purpose of displaying (similar to a poster but usually smaller), as opposed to being printed in any type of publication.

I figured I'd get the pain over with quick and placed a couple bids, going as high as I could afford. It didn't take long to get outbidded.

This will be an interesting auction.

I wish I knew where (what comic) this pin-up was published in.

Abayo.....
