It is pretty outrageous, but you must recall that one did sell for what, $2400 recently?

SDCC is also getting outrageous. I made a grave mistake in looking for a hotel in February -- normally I book in November or so. I'm not paying any more than I have in the past, but I am staying over twice as far away from the convention center as before due to my error. In fact I am staying at two different hotels during the con (just because the price combination worked out that way -- go figure). I should just try booking my hotel reservations for the next year while I'm at the con...

A CGC graded 9.6 Albedo #2 sold on Nov-24-2005 for $2024.99

That actually is more reasonable (but not by much) for such a rare book.
