Dear Readers,
My local friendly neighborhood comicbook store (who gets their books via Diamond Distributors) says 15 copies of #100 gets a poster.
Best wishes to all!

It is a signed poster of the cover of UY 100. It will be about the same size as the original art, so much larger than the comic.

Will there be any other way to obtain the poster? My local comic shop only orders three copies of Usagi right now, so that would mean buying an extra 13 to get the poster :(

Edit: Nevermind. Just talked to my LCS owner, and he's going to order the extra 13 for me at cost in order to get me the poster, so it will only cost me $20. I'm going to see if I can get him to put the extra copies on the shelf for sale anyway, just so that more people are exposed to Usagi. Of the three copies he orders each month, only one actually goes on the stands. Not much exposure at all.

Thanks for the info!!!

Er... Shaxper, if one of fifteen issues has a poster in it, that doesn't mean that every set of fifteen issues has a poster. :D

Statistically, you could as well order 50 or 100 issues without any posters into, but that'd mean you're very very very unlucky. I hope you aren't.

And even if he had not offered to do so, don't you need some extra cool X-mas presents or birthday gifts for all the friends you have who don't know about Usagi yet ?!

One of us is confused (and I'm hoping it's you). My understanding is that Dark Horse is sending a free poster to any distributor that orders fifteen copies of Usagi #100, not that there's a 1:15 chance of getting one. My dealer even confirmed this. Where are you getting the impression that this isn't the case?

Well, if your dealer confirms your version, there's no problem. But as Go wrote,

I first understood that only 15 copies from the total print run would have a poster. Unlikely, isn't it ? (Mr. Sakai seems to confirm this, though, as the posters as signed.)

So, I thought it meant that one-fifteenth of the copies would have a poster in it, which - to me - seemed to be the likeliest hypothesis. Therefore, I wanted to emphasize the fact that as the issues couldn't be evenly shared between all the comic distributors, you don't have exactly a 1:15 chance of getting one poster. Right ?

Okay, okay, it's really really confusing. Sounds like New Math. Just pretend I didn't say anything...

Interesting. Which is it? Every 15 issues ordered gets a poster? Or only 15 copies of #100 have a poster in it? The former seems more likely. Why only print 15 posters? Makes sense to offer several hundred posters as a limited edition instead. Stan has signed a heck of a lot more at a single time...EITHER WAY I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!!!!! :D

the deal here...

To clarify what I heard from Dark Horse:

A retailer gets a free poster for every 15 copies of UY 100 he orders.

I apologize for the confusion.

Leave it to us Dojoers to overthink it

Glad it all makes sense now. Thank you, Sensai!

Well, my local comic shop only gets 2 copies of Usagi in.
The owner is getting 1 extra copy of 100 for himself so thats 3.
I need to order 12 extra copies! And you know what? Im going to!
And then Ill give them away to people at the comic shop in hopes they like it and start getting it too.

8) That's the spirit I like....

Or, it's what I would do; but will the owner give the poster to you, or will he just keep it to himself? :?: :?:

Nah, he wouldn't offend a good customer like you....

It depends if the owner is a fan or not...

Will the print be available online ?
Is it planned to print the UY #99 cover ? i would enjoy to get one copy too.
