Due to changing interests--trading swords for horses--I am reluctantly offering my entire collection of Usagi Yojimbo for sale. This includes ALL the paperback books, numbers 1-20, Space Usagi, and the 18 individual comic books listed below:
DH Green Persimmon Color Special #4
DH 5, 16, 31, 81-87 (all these in the 80's encased in plastic w/cardboard backing), Space Usagi 1, 2
Mirage Vol. 2 #'s 4, 5, 7
Fantagraphics #1 UY Color Special Nov. 1989
Fantagraphics #38 Critters July 1989
All of these have been read, but kept in excellent condition by someone who takes care of her things (that would be me.) I am not a comic book collector, so please accept my apologies if I haven't listed these properly.
My asking price for everything shipped Fedex ground, insured, is $350 or best offer, and I will accept Paypal.
If you are interested or have any questions, please email me at
ladysamurai@yahoo.com rather than waiting for an answer here--I do check my email regularly, but don't always have time to do much more than that.
Thank you!
Diane
What--no replies?!

It certainly left me penniless, otherwise I would definitely buy your collection.

Hmm, I think the problem is not the price, because it is reasonable enough, but most people here have, well, let's say, at least two or three, some even more of the books for sale already....
So, if selling the whole bunch here does not work, the tedious task of selling them individually (here or via ebay) might be the necessary move...
Good luck, either way you choose.

You're probably right--I am hoping the set will appeal to the person who has taken wholeheartedly to UY, only has a few, and wants the convenience and savings of buying the rest all at once--then THEY can sell off the few they have doubles of...
I'd rather not part out my set, because if I am going to keep any, I'll keep the whole thing. After all, I certainly still like UY--just thought I'd see if I could pad my meager savings account by selling off some of my stuff...

Hi Lady Samurai,
Do you still have the set of comics and trades for sale?

Yes. I have had people asking me to sell bits and pieces, but I do not want to break up the set of books...

Do you have a current prince in mind?

Let me ask you a question regarding Paypal. I assume by your post that you have it. I don't have a Paypal account, if someone does not have an account, can they still pay you through it?
Does that make any sense?

Yes, I have a Paypal account--very easy to set up, by the way. And yes, you do have to sign up, but once you do you can use it to send (by credit/debit card or bank account) or receive money very quickly and safely. I have been using Paypal for years to buy and sell. they charge the person receiving the money 3% for most transactions--reasonable. The sender is not charged anything by Paypal to send.
If you prefer, I will accept a mailed check, and can ship out the books once it clears. By the way, I am assuming you are in the continental USA. Any other location and shipping costs will be added to the stated $280. If you are interested in my books I would be happy to send you a private message here or at your email with my Paypal account address.

Ugh, this is such a good deal, but I just went over some finances and I just won't be able to do this. I'm really sorry and I thank you for the information. I hope you find a buyer soon.
