#100 poster from Germany on ebay

There seems to be at least a second comic shop in Germany which received one of these posters; I suppose this offer aims mainly for European fans, since postal costs would very likely double the already steep price....

Spotted this a few days ago, was wondering if anyone else would notice. Might go for it considering they seem to have disappeared pretty much from eBay...

Not that I ever intend to sell mine, but I wonder what removing it from the plastic does to the resale value. I wanted to display mine without the shabby cardboard, so I took it out of the plastic and removed the backing board, which also means the collector's number is no longer attached.

Yes, remove the poster from the cardboard. The cardboard contains acids which will "burn" the poster. When you matte artwork, always use acid free paper and boards.

It came with a collector's number?

That one has to be properly framed and hung on a good place, not too exposed to direct sun light...

About the number: I think it was more a proof of packaging or something about organizing where to ship it to......

It (the number) was on the back side of the cardboard, right? That was the case with my poster, so I didn't bother to keep it.

I stopped into my local comic shop earlier today (yesterday?) to pick up a copy of issue #94 and noticed that they had one of the Issue #100 posters hanging behind the counter at the register. They have it priced at $30.00 - :roll:

Steve;
It's worth that much, *at least,* since it was only available to shops that bought 10 copies of issue #100 = approx. $30. If it had been my local shop, I would have bought it in a heartbeat!

I would have probably have bought it if they had put it up for sale before I received a pair of the posters from other sources. I even increased my order from the three copies of Usagi I was buying per issue (a second copy for my nephews and recently a third copy for Fanfan) up to five copies for issue #100 to help them qualify for the 10 issue minimum.

If anyone is interested in the poster which is for sale at my local comic shop, I can offer my services as an intermediary, or provide contact information for dealing directly with the store. The poster is mounted on cardboard and shrinkwrapped.

The poster itself arrived today and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with it :)

This and the litho I got a couple of months back will be properly framed and mounted hopefully in due course when I figure out where they could go heh. Might have to be the living room but that isn't a bad thing.

Strange thing about the poster is that whilst the only bidder, I had three messages from people after it closed asking me to sell it to them. Had they all missed sniping on it or something?! Very peculiar... and no, they weren't African scammers heh... not to my knowledge :P

(like I was gonna resell it though!)

Congrats on this one; seems you have to move to a bigger flat; or build some more walls.... :wink:
