Hello everyone!

I am looking for many of the hardcovers and was hoping everyone here might be able to help me out. I'm looking for vol.'s 1-5 (Ronin, Samurai, Wanderer's Road, Dragon Bellow Conspiracy, Lone Goat and kid), 7 (Gen's Story), 9 (Daisho), 11-13 (Seasons, Grasscutter, Grey Shadows), & 19 (Fathers and sons). My dad raised me on Usagi and I've always loved it. I'm trying to collect them all as a present to him. It's great to be a part of the DojoBoard. I can't believe I haven't joined before now. Some thing are just too obvious. Snake, bite, all that. Thanks for any help you can give me. It's greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Richard

Welcome :)

As a fellow collector of h/c I can say that some of them are at a premium and you will get competition from others here because they still need them ;)

(I myself am still looking for four of the 22 released so far)

Not sure how many people have them spare here (I did have a #4 spare until recently), and it's hard to recommend places outside of eBay where you might find them. But Heritage Source occasionally turn up some for example.

Extra hard backs...

Hello,
and welcome to the Dojo;

I wish you Good luck with your quest; it's an honorable one, although I do hope you've planned to invest a lot of time and/or money: those here who are in posession of HCs are as a rule reluctant to let go of them (unless really dire monetary need presses them to sell these treasures).

Due to their age (the first HCs where published some 20 years ago, I believe) and due to the limited number of books published, seeing them for sale anywhere is pretty unlikely; even ebay does not have them regularly, but you might want to check it out from time to time anyway.

I've recently seen two HCs for sale in an ebay shop, but 250 US$ was way beyond what I wanted to pay for it.
On the other hand, I've been extremly lucky to buy "Grasscutter HC" for just a little over cover price (that book alone hit 330 US $ on an auction before my fortunate strike). So, keeping your eyes open (and practicing "The Patience of the Spider" :wink: ) might help.

Other places worth checking out are:

They might still have some HCs, although they don’t list them in their online shop, so you could call them to hear what (if any) books they’ve got for you.
