I wonder where they got it.

If you read through the fine print of the description for the auction, the seller does not claim that the cover of the book being sold actually features that artwork.

The thought of a cover variation was kind of cool....

I remember DH had mocked up this cover for some promotion or solicitation. I think this was before I had painted the actual cover. They used it again in the newest Diamond Previews.

Nice pic, idea of 'alternate' covers sounds good...still the final cover in my opinion is better.
