Agh, I was in Calgary! I should have asked but I'm a n00b, just started getting into Usagi this year. How would I obtain a copy, Sensei? Do I go whenever your in the area?Stan Sakai wrote:I sold one in Calgary last week to a Dojo member, for much less than $127 US. I don't deal through the mails (I don't like the hassles), but there are a couple of ways you can get things at my signings.spookyteddy wrote:Agh, I was in Calgary! The first is to go to one of my signings, but that is not always feasible if you are not in the area.
The second is to contact a Dojo member who will be there, and ask if he/she would be willing to pick something up for you. Many times, particularly at the San Diego Con, a member will volunteer to act as an agent. Mayhem has done this a number of times for European Dojo members. Steve Hubbell has done this for some US members. Payment can be given to him/her, or arranged with me before hand by contacting me through PM. Either way, you would also be responsible for the agent's postage and handling charges. There are some things that an agent may be reluctant in taking on, such as buying original art which can be very subjective. I suggest not asking someone to buy art unless you have something very specific, such as a particular cover, or have talked to me beforehand.
Generally, my prices are much less than those on eBay or other sites, but not always. A HC copy of Book 12: Grasscutter went for 100 euros recently, but I am out of that book except for file copies and would sell it for much more if I were to sell it at all.

Okay, I think I'll contact dojo members then XD. Do you have HC copies of book 1-3?Stan Sakai wrote:I don't deal through the mails (I don't like the hassles), but there are a couple of ways you can get things at my signings.spookyteddy wrote:Agh, I was in Calgary!
