Now I know why my local shop couldn't find any info on Stan's variant for this issue!

And, of course, I ordered one of each...... :D

Okay, help me out..... I'm a little slow with stuff like this sometimes. :?

So both the Stan Sakai variant covers are exclusive to (through) CORNERSTORECOMICS / BEACH BALL COMICS only?

And the only way to get either Stan Saksi cover will be through the CORNERSTORECOMICS / BEACH BALL COMICS eBay listing?

Correct? :?:

Seems like there are over 45 cover variations in total... All The Star Wars #1 Variant Covers We Can Find In One Place

I will see about getting a few for Dojo members. Maybe we can run a few contests or something.

I will be doing a signing at the store on January 17, Saturday from 2:30. That issue comes out on Wednesday, the 14th. I will give more details as they are straightened out.

That was smart. A little cheaper than ebay. Me? Not so smart. We'll, at least others can save a little bit. Thanks for posting the link. Maka

Thanks for the link. I visited the online store link and they are still selling copies through their store, even signed ones. At least it allowed me to order both variants in the signed copies. Very excited to have these coming me way!

Quick update for the Dojo members:

I actually called and spoke with the CornerStoreComics guy and he said that they do have a bunch of the Star Wars Sakai variants in-house and currently for sale including a bunch of signed ones, both the B&W and the Colour versions. They are selling them for $12 (Colour) and $18 (B&W) dollars respectively, the signed ones the same price as the unsigned (not sure what that says about you, Stan ;) ).

This is WAY cheaper than you can find them on ebay and my local comic shop said that they could not get them.

I mentioned to the gentleman at CSC's that I would post that info here and that he might get a bunch of orders from us and he might run out of them and he laughed and said "Oh, if only I could have that problem." He was a really nice guy.

So, if you want Stan's variants of this book, signed and/or unsigned, B&W or color, you cannot beat this price. They are selling for crazy high prices on ebay.

Once again, as always (and unfortunately) I have no financial interest in this, just some good info for those of us here.

Here's a link to the page: https://www.cornerstorecomics.com/index ... ing/search

Thanks all,
Buck

edit: Just followed my own link and it did not lead to the correct page but if you put Stan Sakai in the "search" box you will get there.

I was not charging for my signature, and signed a bunch for the store with the stipulation that the signed ones would sell for the same price as unsigned ones.

There is little danger of them selling out. They had to buy at least 5,000 copies of my variants, color & B/W. Marvel was very pleased with my variant and today asked if I would do one for Star Wars #2. I had to decline because of my other deadlines.

Wow, well done. That is so cool that you are not motivated by the money. I am truly impressed with that as so many people seem to just try to make money on everything these days (by the way, I am sure that you already realize it but I was just kidding about them not charging any more for your signature and that being an insult to you! ;) ).

Received my Star Wars 1 today and the kids and i love it. Looking forward to issue 2 and we do wish that you could do a cover for it but understand that you are probably a very busy man.

Thanks for all you do!

Got my comics in the mail Saturday, direct from the store. Each came with a Certificate of Authenticity with the store's raised "stamp." Very nice comics, perfect transaction. I will note that it looks like Stan was signing *very quickly* to get through all those covers!

Mine arrived today as well and I agree with all the above (with slight modification of your quote)! Excellent service and the comics are perfect and loving that they are signed by Stan. If you want them, this is the way to go in my opinion!

I've tried contacting this comic shop multiple times via e-mail and they have not responded. info@cornerstorecomics.com

Is there a Beach Ball Comics e-mail? Are they the same store?
