Volume 4 AP available through Stan's Website

Post by BuckRogers »

Hey all!

So psyched!

I just bought an AP of Volume 4 Hardcover through Stan's website. $79.99 with free shipping in USA (not sure about elsewhere)

There were supposeduly 3 available before I purchased mine so there should still be at least two left.

Just giving everyone a heads-up!

Happy purchasing!!!

As soon as that email from Stan's website popped up at my office I ordered it and canceled my Amazon pre-order.
5 available when I ordered but now it is down to 3.
This made my day! So glad it is available now and I don't have to wait until mid September!
Hope I'm sitting at my desk in November/December for the volume 5 email :D

Thanks to Stan for making these available! Thanks to Daniel again for making this website a reality. A huge blessing to be able to get items like this without traveling to a convention or paying ridiculous prices on ebay.

Did you notice the print run went back down to 900?

Agree on all points! I am really psyched as I do not have an AP copy of any of Stan's incredible work! Very excited!!!

Ahh, excellent!!!

Really a great deal if you ask me. Pre-order on Amazon is over $70 bucks and they are not the AP copies.

It would be great, but the shipping would be a killer. Besides, my comic place has been selling them to me for 35 GBP each...

Tempting, but I've been getting mine from instocktrades.com for $46 each. An AP copy would be cool though...

My hardcover and trade paperback copy are on order through the local comic shop. According to Diamond previews and Dark Horse, they should be in next week.....

I suspect Jabba and myself get ours close to trade price. I know my comic shop does not mark up their hardcovers to me because I'm a long standing customer, although my price will be higher than Jabba due to exchange rates and obviously still having to bulk ship across the Atlantic!

I already ordered mine from my lcbs. But these are tempting because there is a lower run of AP and I assume Stan gets more money from these sales than he gets from my local comic book store. Or does it not matter because they make 900 or so limited edition and Stan gets paid for those regardless how many they sell? I don't know.

Peace, maka

The AP and PC are on top of the regular run. I imagine Stan is given a certain number, so effectively he would make more selling those than the cut from the sale of a regular version. But he would get the same cut per unit regardless of what the book is eventually sold for to us, be it $40 or $70, as the cut is set by the trade price that Dark Horse sells the books to the retailers. Anything above this is profit for the retailer (minus shipping costs and sales tax).
