UY Special Edition (paperback)

Post by Gaffey »

Does anyone know where I can find a new (shrink-wrapped) copy of the Usagi Yojimbo paperback edition? I had no idea it was out of print. I'm finding it difficult to locate a new unused copy at cover price.

Thanks.

Dang, both Fantagraphics and stansakai.com had them a couple months ago. No such luck now.

Yeah, I tried all the usual online sites and came up empty. Now I'm going to try all the local comic stores.

Thanks. 8) It might be better if you just let me know which store has it. I don't want you to be stuck with an $80 set of books if I also find one.

If you happen to find 2, I'd gladly take the 2nd. I wanted to order it a few weeks ago, only to realize it was out of stock everywhere.

I don't understand why a softcover would be out of print. I thought Fantagraphics always reprinted the Usagi books.

Looked at my local comic shop this week and stopped in at my nearest Barnes and Noble on the off chance they might have it. No luck.

They used to carry it online, but I'm not sure if it was ever carried in-store. I happened to be nearby, so thought it was worth a stop.

-I contacted Fantagraphics to see if it will be reprinted - No reply yet
-I contacted two online comic shops that said they could still get it - No reply yet
-I tried over twenty online New/Used book stores - No luck
-Tried all the usually online comic shops (Mile High, IST, Midtown, My Comic Shop, etc.) - No luck
-The same "bookjacker" that I tried to get a rare Bone book from on Abe Books also claims to have a NEW one in stock. I will not fall for that again.

I bet there are tons of them for sale at Baltimore with Stan being a guest.

Do you still live in Wisconsin? Westfield Comics claims to have it.

I still live in Wisconsin, but don't have a car, which limits a bit the area I can explore. I'll have a look at Baltimore Comic Con and will consider going to Westfield with an Uber if I don't find the books here.

If you're a Garth Ennis (Preacher) fan, he was added to the guest list for Saturday only (2pm-3pm).

I placed an order for a copy of the set from Westfield, but it says there's a 5-10 day wait. I'm assuming they think they can still get it from Diamond which isn't the case. I hope they have a distributor elsewhere or once again I was sold something that wasn't actually IN STOCK. We'll see.
