Dear UYDers,

You probably already have these in print, but there is something nice about having your Usagi's comics available to in your pocket. $40 for all 7 Saga books + Legends and you don't have to store them. I use have used the dark horse app on my phone and it works well enough. Using the website is an okay experience too. It's where I am getting my screen captures for this month's UY Scavenger Hunt. But I paid much more than $40 for my digital copies.

I'm not familiar with any digital comics so I have a few questions.
-Do these download directly to your computer/phone/etc?
-If so, how many GB's does the Usagi catalog take up?
-If these don't download directly, are they stored in the cloud and you just access them through the web?
-or finally do you have both options of downloading and truly owning them and storing them in the cloud for future access?
-Can these be viewed on other apps like Kindle, etc?

edit: No. You have to choose to download it to your phone. On my mac, I can only read it in the web browser, there is no option to read off-line.

It depends. The more artwork, the more memory. For example UY Yokai is around 28-35MB. Where as something like Paper Girls vol. 1 is about 82MB. So since a UY Saga book has three trades on average, I would guess (and this is just a guess) it would be around 250-300MB.

Yes. I read them on the computer (once again, digital dark horse doesn't allow for downloads on computer). On a phone or tablet, it needs to be downloaded first to the device before reading.

It depends on the publisher. For example, Image comics on comixology allows you to download them and keep them forever on whatever storage or cloud drive you want. For the Dark Horse Comics app, no. But for humblebundle comics yes. So the Yokai comic mentioned above, I have a digital copy saved on box.com.

For digital comics bought on humblebundle, most comics can be imported to kindle app. They also have PDF version for most comics as well that can be read by any pdf reader app. They also have CBZ format that works with apps that read that format. But for digital.darkhorse.com store, I don't believe so. I haven't bought any dark horse comics on comixology, so I don't know if it is different there.
