An Albedo NR 2 on eBay always manages to get a pretty decent bidding war going. I would place the value on a mint condition version at over $1000 myself (based on one of the recent eBay sales). I was just cleaning out my garage and pulled up an old Mile High catalog from 1987. They had Albedo 2 going for $140. That was 17 years ago.

WOW, that's crazy. I used to shop at Prarie Dog comics back in the mid eighties. I lived in Wichita from about 1986 - 1988. Prarie Dog used to be the center of the universe as far as I was concerned. In fact, I bought my very first issues of TMNT there (issues 4 and 5) off the new comics rack.
Good times!
If anyone would have had a CGC Albedo it's them.

I have become a regulllaer buyer and seller on Ebay for a cuple months now. I know that when I really want something, I will try to stay at the top of the bid with a good amount of spending money, but thats if I really want something.
There are though, People who wait to bid to the last day, which is super smart, and then you have the top buyers like myself who like to appritiaate a bought item. (ohh thats sounds harsh...but it not I just mean, willing to pay the high price)
The highest I have bought on Ebay was close to $200 on a Wedding Kimono and a Vintage WW2 German Photo Album with Photos.<--These, I tihnk were woth the buy, cense most of thses items willl cost a lot more if bought a a regulare retailer....
Now about the Comic LoL!- Ya'll have a good feel on why that comic would cost so much, and I agree with you on that, I personally dont have $400 + to buy a comic book....but as a said befor, If your willing to pay for it, then to you, It is a treasure and worth the buy

Show off!

Just Kidding Stan.
I was able to finally acquire a 1st printing of #1 1st printing for about $250.00 back in....1993 or 1994. Still have it, not signed though.
Out of curiosity Stan is this the same copy Pete an Kevin handed you at the San Diego con of 1984? I saw your interview the other day with Peter Laird on the Battle Nexus DVD. Great interview BTW.

That was probably a second printing at the SD Con. I had a couple of those, but gave one to a friend. Peter gave me the first printing not too long ago.
Is the Battle Nexus DVD out already? I haven't see it yet. I have seen the interview, though.

Not yet.
I have a friendship with the some of the sales team at Funimation. I was able to obtain an advance copy of the Battle Nexus DVD. (SHHHH).
Your interview with Pete was fantastic! I gave me a feeling that TMNT/Usagi is finally starting to get what it deserves.
I was reminded of the short story the Mr. Laird did in Usagi vol 1 #10 called "The Crossing". Great story and art. I instantly retreated to my comics to revisit the old story.
BTW Usagi fans.
The Michelangelo TMNT Christmas DVD has Usagi in Gen in it as well. The story is based on the Michelangelo one shot from the 80's. Its very well done, I believe it will be out shortly if not already available.
