When I first came across some Usagi Yojimbo comic art, I was very impressed. It's expressive and correct, yet seems to be drawn so instinctively. It has a richness that is lost when drawing too much from one's head and not enough from... well, one's heart.

I've been trying to develop that discipline in my work for awhile, and found Mr. Sakai's art to be such an inspiration! So I thought I should try drawing Usagi in such a fashion.

I must say, this has to be one of my favorite drawings ever. (Of my own, I mean^^;) I hope you will enjoy it too.

Absolutely fantastic! Another 23 drawings of that quality and Stan could have a great book of Fan art for publishing!

You know, I've actually seen fanart books before. Not of UY though. I think it was Ragnarok Online. Fun concept, really. It would be awesome to see more books like that! Especially of Usagi^_^ He's such a great character.

Yeah, fanart is so awesome! And some of those sketches Becky-Chan put up are really something^_^ The Groo/Usagi pic is cute too. (All though I have to admit, I know nothing of Groo~_~)

Wow! That's adorable!!!

Gee...I finally snapped out of my amazed stupor....

I am so shocked at the details you put into this picture!! The way the cheeks wrinkle where Usagi hold Jotaro close...The ladybug-on-a-leaf which Jotaro is so easily amused by...The facial expressions that represent each's feelings to the situation...Everything....I'm just simply stunned.

Oh, I love pictures like that! The ones you can just keep looking at and always seem to find something new. If one of my pictures has that kind of an effect, I'm thrilled^_^
