Some of you might have noticed the really cool images from various Usagi Covers and comics that grace the web layout of the Dojo, some of you might ALSO have noticed that some of these pieces were never published in color...or if they were the colors are different than what is seen in the web layout.
Well when Todd asked me to help Digulla with the new images we had to dig out what was it Todd? FOURTEEN separate themes?! *twitches* And if they didn't exist in print we had to make do. "Making do" entailed scouring though my Usagi Comic collection looking for just the right images for the themes, scanning them at a good dpi and then applying color. Over the next few weeks I'm gonna pull out my original files on these images and posting them here, as well as color commentary on the reasons behind some of the images selected;
This is the original sidebar image for the new 'Rabbit Bodyguards' site. Inazuma has always been one of my favorate characters and my original fav image, the cover from the TPB Daisho, wouldn't work in the new layout...believe me you I tried! The original plan, to crop the cover of the UY Volume 3 Iss 6 Cover, didn't work so back to the Dojo files to recover the black and white scan Stan sent to us and then applying color with Paint Shop Pro. Enjoy!

And a good colorist too!
Naomi Sunwolf was another colorist who did lots of Stan's pieces, I believe they are still posted in the Old Rabbit Bodyguards pages, I got into coloring much later than she did.
Any way the main reason (other than practice ) I re-did many of these pieces was because the original didn't have enough contrast to not turn to mud when I made the image less opaque for the layout, some worked...others like this one didn't
