Hey guys...been busy, but i actually had time to draw. I was in my oekaki room fooling around and started to draw this guy, I named after Kikuchiyo in 7 Samurai. He was created almost, oh, 5-6 years ago and inspried by the UY universe. I love bats, fruit bats especially, so I figgered, make up my own anthro-bat dude. This is just a scribble, I can do a really good portrait of him...I should. Black is a hard shade to work with! Making the folds and details stand out, what a pain! But I thought his black outfit, lined with red would look cool. It all helps him be more invisible at night, maybe he has some ninja-affiliations ... who knows? Or he just wants to look cool haha!

I commented already on this guy, but I have nothing against commenting again on him
Although you said that black is a hard colour to shade; you've clearly done a wonderful job doing so by using grey. Plus the red is an awesome touch as well

*loves red, white and black as her favourite colours*
you did a brilliant job in oekaki, Buslady!

He certainly looks nice. Heh, those wings sure give him some advantages over other samurai.

Cool looking character, I really like the red and black color scheme.
There is one difference between Kikuchiyo and the Komori Ninja of Usagi Yojimbo.... He has an extra pair of limbs

it probably gives him a mutant kind of advantage over the average ninja bat.
Always enjoy seeing more of your work.

yeah I've buggered about the extra limbs, but eh, oh well...so he's got technically 4 arms hahah! so youre right, he's more mutant fruit bat. his wings aren't really very strong to carry him long distances because of his body weight, but he uses them to his advantage in other ways.
Maybe he's some hidden species of bat type people in a valley and only a handful ever leave it? eh who knows. He'd despise the Komori ninja though, seeing no honor in those guys.
One of these days Im going to write his story.
