Cassie, the human girl with ninja skills and earthpowers. 17 years old.
Caring, quiet type, sarcastic sense of humor.

Kairi, rabbit girl and is being trained by Usagi to become a samurai.
15 years old. Sweet, friendly, hyper.

" Kairi, stop it! It's not funny!" Cassie said to her white furred young friend. Kairi turned to face her. " Why? It was your idea to glue Gen's sandals to Usagi's swords." she whispered. Cassie sighed.
" I was just joking! Now put that glue away!" she said.
Kairi groaned and put it away. " Fine. But it would be fun to watch....Hehe!" her sparkly blue eyes shone in the campfire as she sat down next to Cassie. Usagi and Gen were both sleeping.

" Awww, how cute.." Cassie said and giggled as they watched their two friends sleeping on the ground. Kairi laughed silently.
Gen was snoring, and Usagi had curled up like a little kitten, and looked really adorable. Cassie and Kairi yawned and decided to go to sleep.

Next morning:
Usagi opened his eyes and yawned and rubbed his eyes as he looked around. It was still early, but he could hear some slashing sounds, and decided to examine it. He got up and followed the sounds until he reached a clearing in the forest.

" Cassie?" he asked. Cassie was practicing with her elbow blades, and had almost cut down a tree. Usagi smiled and watched her practice.
Cassie then stopped and turned around and saw him. She smiled and went over to him, putting away her weapons.
" Good morning, Usagi. Slept well?" she said. Usagi nodded.
" Good to see that you keep up your training. It must be hard being away from your home." he said. Cassie nodded. "Yeah, I miss New York...But hey, I'm getting used to live here now." smiles and then they return to find that Gen and Kairi had woken up.

A little continue on the story:

Kairi looked up and saw Usagi and Cassie returning.
" Morning." she says with a cute smile.
Usagi and Cassie smile back at her, and sit down by the campfire.
Gen was still a little drowzy, and looked like he was going to fall asleep again. Suddenly they could hear snoring.
Kairi turned and sighed with a little giggle. Gen had fallen asleep, with his face in one hand. She nudged him, almost making him fall over.
" Gen! Come on, wake up!" she said. Gen startled and woke up again.

Cassie and Usagi couldn't help it and gave out a little laugh.
" Come on now. We have to reach Edo within a few hours, and there is still a long way." Usagi said after they had eaten breakfast and packed their stuff.
Kairi and Cassie got on their horses. So did Gen and Usagi, and off they went to Edo.

I hate it when that happens...

Okay, I've been listening to sappy lovesongs all day, and that has probably affected my fanfic here, but live with it!
Hehe! I'l also add a musicvideo which reflects Usagi's bond with Cassie in this story.. Hope you guys like it.

They finally reach Edo, and also manage to get a place to sleep at an inn.¨

Gen of course want something strong to drink, so they decide to buy something and just relax at a table in he inn.

Usagi sit back in the chair and breaths out. They had rode for many days to reach Edo, and now they were finally here.
He looked at the three others. Kairi was teasing Gen about his drinking as usual, and that always made Usagi smile. Seeing those two always made him smile, cause it was always funny watching a small rabbit teasing a huge rhino.
His glance went over the whole room, and then it stopped.
Cassie was sleeping with her head resting in her arms on the table.
She looked really peaceful, and Usagi knew she was tired after the long trip. She hadn't even touched the glass of water she had ordered.
Usagi looked at her, and if Kairi hadn't woken him up from his staring, he would still be looking at her.

" You okay, Usagi? You seem pretty lost!" Kairi asked and looked at him.
Usagi nodded and smiled. "I am fine, Kairi. I am just a little tired, that's all." he answered. Gen smirked, and looked at Cassie.
" Apparently you're not the only one who's tired from the long trip. We should get some rest, all of us." He's a little woozy from the drinks, but could still stand up. Kairi went over and woke Cassie up.
" Hm? What?" Cassie rubbed her eyes and looked up.

" It's okay,Cassie. We're going to bed now. It's late and we're all as tired as you." Kairi smiled and Cassie got on her feet.
The four friends then went to bed, and slept soundly.

The next day Cassie woke up first, and went outside the inn to explore the village before breakfast.
She stretched her arms far up and looked at the sky. She smiled
and took a deep breath of fresh air.
Then she started exploring Edo. It was a big place, and she found a lot of nice people who were nice and polite.

An hour later she was given a fresh apple for free, and she ate it while walking around.
Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder, and flinched as she grabbed the hand and flipped it around, knocking the person to the ground.
" Hiiyaah!!" "BANG!!
" Oww...." the person said. Cassie turned, and her mouth dropped.
" Oh no! Usagi!" she said, and helped him up. " I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" she asked, blushing and embarrassed. Usagi had to regain his breath before he could answer.
" Wow....*coughs* Is that how you greet a friend?" he asked with a little smirk. Cassie giggled. " No... I just got surprised and reacted in a weird kinda way. Usually people who do what you just did are people who want to kill me..... And what I did to you just proved that 7 years of martial arts training has paid off.." she said, and finished her apple."

Usagi laughs and then looks at Cassie again.
" I am impressed. You want breakfast?" he asked.
Cassie nodded, and followed him back to the inn.

Kairi and Gen were sitting and eating when Usagi and Cassie came back.
Kairi looked up and smiled. " Well, look who the rabbit dragged in."
she said and looked at Cassie. Cassie just smiled back and sat down.
" I just wanted tot take a look around before breakfast." she said, and started eating. Usagi sat down beside Gen and did the same.
Nobody said much during breakfast, and when they were finished, Cassie went outside again, taking her elbowblades with her.

Gen watched her leave, and Usagi also did.
" She's going training again." Kairi said.

Hahahahahahaha! That was most interesting!
She did not realize he was behind her!!!
this is getting a bit more exciting!!

Lord Noriyuki was wandering around in his castle, bored.
" Oh, if I only found something to do." he thought for himself.
" My lord, you know you have to stay here." Tomoe Ame said.
Noriyuki nodded and sighed. " I know... But it's so boring here today.
And the sun is up and it is warm and nice outside. Please?"
he asked. Tomoe Ame sighed. " okay, but don't leave the garden." she answered. Noriyuki smiled happily and ran outside.

Not far from the castle garden Cassie had found a nice spot to train, and she started right away. Meanwhile, Noriyuki was playing around in the garden, enjoying his freetime. " This is much better than sitting in that castle all day long." he thought, and sat down on the grass.
He heard some sounds, and went to explore. He found Cassie training with her elbowblades just on the other side of the hedge surrounding the garden. He watched her as he found it amusing.

Cassie trained for a while, and then stopped as she heard a cracking sound, and turned around. " Are you spying on me, kid?" she asked when she saw Noriyuki. " I hope it is okay.... I just wanted to find out who was on the other side of this hedge, because I heard some sounds." he said.

Cassie went over to Noriyuki and sat down on her knees in front of him.
He wasn't too big, just like a little kid next to her.
She smiled. " It's alright. I'm Cassie, by the way." she said.
Noriyuki smiled back at her and told her his name.
" So you're royalty? Cool!" Cassie said.

I'm glad you finally added Noriyuki and Tomoe-san, and I love the way how Noriyuki has that childish demeanor although he's daimyo.
Will Kairi be meeting him anytime soon?
