Wonderful! Amy's art gets better and better.

That's a five minute quick sketch, made at the back of a car after a long day, Amy asked what i wanted, i replied : une grenouille (a frog)

I always liked frog (but i like a lot of things at the same time...). Well, there are a lot a lot of stories involving frog or at last reinterpretation of famous frog tale. Recently i have bee surrounded by frogs, in museum (toad and frog):


in decadent and symbolic tales of XIX century french writers (i still discover new old books...) like in Jean de Lorrain's Mandragora. It begins like this :

Quand on sut que la reine avait accouché d'une grenouille ce fut la consternation à la cour

(When it was known that the queen gave birth to a frog, it was consternation at the court)
we have famous comic book like garulfo (the hero is a frog and we go through famous tale)

so i don't know, when i was a kid i used to go to family's farm, there was pool and frog, today frogs are starting to disappear in france because of the pollution (both ground and water, and because of the disparition of their environnement like pool)
Those last weeks i have been surrounded by frogs, so i think it was why i asked a frog.
And look at the expression, it was a good choice.

Oh - the froggie's up!!! How cool to see it again^_^

Lol, I remember that^_^ I thought you meant Gen at first^^; I had no idea how prevalent frogs were in French art and literature. Everyone seems to have their own rendition of the Frog Prince (or Princess) but beyond that, they seem not to get a lot of attention. Which is a shame, they're pretty fun to draw^_^

Anyway, let me at least put some color on this drawing for you. I felt bad about having to rush through it so...

You are a fantastic artist Amy.
