Hi everybody, i'm a french guy, so I apologize for my english skills.
Like in Marvel comics, I try to draw a "What If" picture of Usagi. After the war, the rabbit samuraï choosin the dark side and lend his sword to a Yakuza group. And now it spends its time to play draughts.
The sketch was inked and colored with photoshop.
I hope that you will enjoy it

He'd be a Boss very quickly and extremely rich, cuz no thief, gambler or Ronin can match him for his skill with the sword and quick thinking.

That could be a really cool story! Can you just imagine the possible Usagi / Zato Ino story that could arise from that kind of a scenario?
Stan has never explored the Zatoichi / Yakuza connection in his Zato ino stories, possibly because the Yakuza did not begin to form until the middle of the Tokugawa or Edo Period.
Stan could have Zato Ino have a dream about his old gambling days before he finally found his peaceful retirement, showing some of his confrontations with various yakuza groups as he travelled. Finally, he awakens after he dreams that the oyabun is Usagi!

Even if Usagi went dark, I have to wonder if he'd join any organization. He is such a wanderer at heart. He would probably just be more like his couterpart Jei, but with a little mercenary for hire thrown in there to make money.
Interesting imagination and nice art though. The tattoos are really creepy, and I was revolted by the sight of them, so you definitely achieved a visceral reaction from this viewer.
