He must have changed hands from panel to panel; he's drawing the sword with his right (first panel), holding it in his left (forth panel) and lifting it with his right again...
And now I am confused, because Steve mirrored the last two panels, making Jei left handed.
My guess is Usagi wanted to confuse Jei.
So now I can guess why you choose to make Usagi left handed: the layout of the last two panels works only if one of them was left handed.
But nevertheless, really looking good. It makes me want to see more, like, for example, the outcome of that confrontation
