THE FUNNY MAN - Usagi Yojimbo Fancomic - Main Thread

Heeello folks.

So you may remember I announced a little while ago that I'd be working on an Usagi Yojimo fancomic titled "The Funny Man", which was going to focus on Kiyoko - in fact, Usagi himself doesn't feature at all.

Well, Page 1 is finally done - and I thought it should have its own thread, for the sake of havign somewhere to post the pages as we go on.

Took a little longer to do this than I anticipated (mostly due to a heatwave killing much work motivation), and I dunno when the next will be ready... but I will certainly upload it here. Thanks to the forum's file upload limitations, however, I DO have to post them as DeviantArt links. Hope you will still read:

Thank you! I won't spoil anything ,but I CAN tell you that it's going to play out a little differently than most Kitsune stories... since this is a Kiyoko story.

This isn't a page update, just a related sketch.

Things are gonna get a light bit more dramatic in the next few pages (nothing too big, but some of the stuff we've seen so far is gonna be brought up), so while I was bored on the train the other day, I just wanted to quickly doodle Kiyoko and Kitsune having a cute moment together to balance things out.

Here's Page 9 - and it was easily the one I least liked drawing. Maybe I am just a sap, but drawing Kiyoko being sad kinda hurts.
