My notes from class, I have three exams next week.

Now seriously... I'm reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yeah, quite late and although I was disappointed with the Order of Phoenix, I hope this one is at least entertaining. And before this, I've been reading War of the Worlds, by H.G. Wells. :)

what to read

Just finished The Broker by John Grisham in one day and now I'm working on Watership Down. I hadn't read it since high school and seeing Sawyer reading it on an old episode of LOST reminded me how much I liked it.

Lord of Light by Zelazny is one of my favorite books!

I've been re-reading the Samurai Mystery trilogy by Dale Furutani after finally finding a copy of the first book (Death at the Crosroads) in nice condition and for an affordable price.

What a coincidence. I just finished Dale's Murder in Little Tokyo. Its sequel is The Toyotomi Blade, which I have not read yet.

I am in the middle of Max Allan Collin's Road to Purgatory, the sequel to Road to Perdition. The final chapter is Road to Paradise.

My last 3 books (sorry no Zelazni inside...) :
a town with 8 graves by YOKOMIZO Seishi(a police story book)
Izu Dancer and other short novels by Kawabata
The Black Lizard by Yukio Mishima, an adaptation of the famous Edogawa Ranpo's Black Lizard... Completely amazing.

Oh, 3 japanese writers, it is time to change, i think next books will be one of some french decadent writer as Jean de Lorrain or Rachilde. but i don't believe they are translated...

I'm currently reading three books (or trying to, at least):

You Can't Go Home Again by Thomas Wolfe - My uncle got me this for Christmas when he'd heard I was moving to New York. So far it's quite good!

Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett - I'm a huge Discworld fan and movie buff, so this one's a natural for me.

I'm Just Here for the Food by Alton Brown - Yeah, it's a cookbook. But it's the most entertaining cookbook I've ever read!

I am working on "The Eldest", sequel to Eragon.

Also, I have recently been introduced to the books of Dean Koontz. I'd never read any of his before, but am thoroughly enjoying the supernatural mysteries. I especially liked the Frankenstein books.

Gamer books are interesting. I always find it fascinating how a game actually works from a mechanical standpoint. What's a good robotech book?

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I am reading (for the first time ) Robert Jordan's apparently never ending Wheel of Time series. A friend of mine who is a huge fan of the series bought me the first 10 books in paperback for Christmas. They're long but engrossing, I am about half-way through the eighth one Path of Daggers. SF/Fantasy is not my general cup of tea, so these are a big departure for me.

I've just finished Flipped by I-forgot-who..... now I'm starting Wicked: The Life and Times Of The Wicked Witch Of the West which tells the story of the Witch of the West(You know, from the Wizard of Oz) as a teenager and how she became evil. Inspired a dazzling broadway musical.
