Tilt-Shift Photography

I discovered this technique recently, and if it wasn't so expansive, i would have already tried by myself :

The techniques looks like people or places are miniature model.
It can be done with special lens or with digital effects. Unfortunately most of the photos you can find are done with digital effect.
