From what I have heard, it is an edited version, but the cut scenes are supposedly included as bonus material.

The Japanese (deluxe) version is 141 minutes, while the US version is 125 minutes.

It's definitely well worth watching, an excellent film... I don't know if the version shown here in the UK is edited or not though, it opened 2-3 weeks ago. Hmm... let's have a look...

Ah, I see. The version isn't cut as in the censors wanted it cut for rating, it's an edited version produced by the studio for Western release. The UK print is 125 minutes as well. Guess getting it on Blu Ray in due course will be worth it for 16 extra minutes if true...
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
