Welcome to the Dojo!

I send greetings from Trier (Germany) where it's 16°C today... (It should be freezing at this time of the year...)

My oldest daughter (12) will start reading UY this year, as I think her English is now good enough.

Although there are some German translations, I hope to even improve her English by doing so.

Thanks! You're not Jens Voigt, I take it?!?! :) I love cycling as well as all things Usagi. I lived in Munich and Freiberg for a few months in 1995 with a German friend of mine. Soooooo beautiful! I also have a 12 year old daughter who just loves UY, but of course, there is no language barrier. It will actually probably help her english a bit as Mr. Sakai uses a really full vocabulary and my kids are learning new words by reading it.

See you around,Buck

There's a minor restored, grade Albedo #2 on eBay for a reasonable price currently, if you want to go after that... or wait for a better condition copy. Personally I don't worry about grading, my first print TMNT #1 sits merrily alongside all the other printings heh.
Looks like it did not sell at $595. The seller pulled it and re-listed it at $565 today. Does anyone know of a similar grade sale recently and how much it went for?

On an aside, my search for an Albedo 2 has officially started. Does anyone here have the GPA recent comic book sale data for Albedo #2? I do not have an account with GPA and since I will only be looking for this book, really do not want to pay to join up just for that.

Thanks!

Almost, almost! Being of the same age as Jens Voigt, I did semi-professional cycling in my youth.

Maybe, if your daughter someday wants to improve her German, she can start reading UY in german.

Ha! We must be almost the same age then. I just turned 43 two days ago. I road raced bikes from '87 to '92 all over New England. Used to see Tyler Hamilton a bunch and occasionally Lance Pharmstrong and Davis Phinney at some of the bigger ones (Killington Stage Race). Never made it pro but I was a decent rider and still love to cycle as much as possible.

As for UY in German, maybe my wife could read it (she speaks German pretty well) but no chance for the rest of us!!!
