Wow, Andy that is an awesome piece of art. Nice style. Gives me the feeling of those old illistrations of medevil europe. Very fitting.
I'm still reading Salamandastron and like it alot so far. I am going to read more tonight before I go to bed.
Hi there Stan, have you ever posted those 'redwall-style' art? If not would you ever?
Does anyone have favorite cover art in the Redwall?
A favorite of mine is the cover used now for the softcover of the very first book. That one I like with the border around it depictiing several small icons of the backround characters, Asmodeus being one of them, with Mathius at the bottom in his robe, holding sword and sheild high. I like the Salamandastron hardcover art, with the badger on the front. There are others I favor as well but, I can't recall whta cover matchup with the ones I haven't read yet.

I am done with Salamandston. Very satisfied. I am seeing the formula of the series from book to book but, I haven't found that to be a reason to stop reading it. I am unsure of what I am going to read next. I may or may not take a break from this series. Salamandastron is, like the rest that I have read a keeper for my personal collection to read again someday. What else can I say, I've quickly become a Redwall fanatic.
I will end up reading one of several in mind. One is a novel I started reading a short time back, written by Harry Turtledove called Amrerican Front. It's kind of neat. It is an alternate history novel set in a 1914 AD that never was, where the south still is seperate from the north.
Another book I am interested in is, Conspiracies by F Paul Wilson, 3rd book in his Repairman Jack series. There are others I wouldn't mind chatting about either so just to keep this section to inline with Redwall, perhapse I'll start a topic on novels unrelated to Redwall.
