Does anyone here get the Ninja Scroll comics by Wildstorm/DC Comics?
Are they any good? I have been sitting on the fence about them for awhile now, and can't decide.
Thanks,
MikeM

I saw the Ninja Scroll movie and I liked it. That being said I havn't read the books so they may be good, because there are good comics that make bad movies(espiecaly Daredevil

), and bad comics the make good movies.

I really enjoyed the movie.
I got the comic book trade collection a few weeks ago, and did not enjoy it. It's like a super hero series. Even Jubei's character design was changed to give him a super hero's body, with his top always open to reveal his mighty pecs. The stories were pretty pedestrian, I thought.

I picked up issues 1 - 12 at my local comic shop.
I really wish I didn't. The stories weren't that exciting and the art was just ok in most issues. Some did have nice art though.
It couldn't have done all that well however since there are no more issues solicited.

That's too bad. It could have been a good series, if it was handled differently and with another creative team.

I agree with you on that Stan. I think Dark Horse could have done a good job with it as they are more comfortable doing non-superhero comics than DC/Wildstorm. Which kind of surprised me that DC has the rights to Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. Those don't seem like big sellers to DC, but to a smaller press company like Avatar, it would have done great.
