I think me, too.

I never saw the first one in the theater-- I saw it on tv (movie channel or something)-- and LOVED it! I'd no idea until earlier this year that there was a second movie-- All I'd heard about last year was the comic and the animated series.

There's a short interview with Mike Mignola on Wired.com that includes some of his artwork. Pretty neat stuff:

I can hardly wait for the German cinema release. Trailers are looking very good. I have loved the first movie - lot of lovecraftian tentaculae in the end - must see.

just a few more hours for me. I think I am going to go to a midnight showing with a friend.
Hellboy was the first comic, for me, that I hadn't read a thing about going intot eh theater. I had totally fresh eyes seeing it. So I decided to keep that up this time around. I did watch the two animated films. I will probably pick up the trades after this film and read he ones the films were based on. I assume they will have a enough interest to warrant a third for the trilogy, So I will hold off on reading them all.
But Del Toro has become one of my favorite directors in the past few years. Very interested to see what he dreams up for the Hobbit movies.
