Please forgive my absense

...but real life took it's toll on me and I have not been in the Dojo in months.
My best friend, who I consider to be like my sister, lost her dad recently to a blood clot in his lungs and I have been there for her, and she is also starting her first job so I'm there to be a rock she can cling to in this very troubling time for her.
(also, I've been on the search for a WII, but that's not new...

)
So, forgive me being absent...I shall try not to do it again.

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your friend's father. I have been hearing about a lot of deaths lately. It is good that you are able to be a support for her.
We just got a Wii not long ago. We played with one at a friend's home at a July 4th party. We were told they are difficult to find. My son was calling Best Buy every day to see if a shipment came in. We were lucky. It took less than a week.

Sorry to hear about your friends loss, but glad you're back.
As for a Wii, I'm sure you've figured out all the places to look. When they first came out, there were websites that listed the shipment amounts at the major stores in "your" area Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.) These numbers were based off of information from UPS tracking lists and employee at the stores. not sure if those sites are still around.
Stores I would keep an eye on would be:
Wal-Mart
Target
Best Buy...obviously
also:
Video Game Stores
& Blockbuster gets systems in to sell (not as many people check there)
Also, check out the resale shops for CDs/DVDs/ Video games Some people may have needed to sell theirs off for some cash. (of course,that is, if you don't mind owning a used system.)
Hope that helps

(I now has a Wii in my possession..heh...)
(What I wouldn't give for a strike-through option...lol)
Yeah, it's been hard for her. She's been working long hours at her K*roger job and she's always IMing me about it every day.
Although I do ask her every day when I IM her how she is doing, but I feel like maybe I'm intruding too much... *sweatdrop*

Thank you.
(Now, it may not be normal for you, but I drive myself crazy each day going "Is she okay? Does she need to talk? What do I do to help?!"

)
