Any chance of Groo Crew appearing on The Simpsons?

Post by Jet_Jaguar »

A couple of days ago, I was thinking of how fun it would be if, in the next episode of The Simpsons which involves a comic book convention or something like that, Stan, Sergio, Mark, and Tom made a guest appearance (Of course, their character designs would be based on the way that Sergio draws them). Is there any chance of this ever happening? Stan and Sergio have both created Simpsons comics stories, so they already have a slight connection to the Simpsons, and there was the episode with Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman, and Dan Clowes doing a guest appearance, so there's some precedent for comic book people appearing on The Simpsons.

We all know Matt Groening and the Simpsons crew, but I doubt we have enough main-stream recognition or interest to warrant an Simpsons cameo--except for Sergio. Everyone may not know Groo, but they certainly are familiar with Mad Magazine. Sergio also really looks like a cartoon character.

Sergio and I have been drawn as Simpson characters in our Treehouse of Horror issues.
