Ever wondered what an AKIRA movie funded by an American studio would look like? Now we know!

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

That's pretty funny. It reminds me a little bit of the "Saturday Morning Watchmen" cartoon I linked to.

EDIT: Apparently, that's because it was made by the same guy! Duh!

I'm still clinging to the hope that they'll include Chiyoko in this version (or at least the old priestess). But what are the odds?

And what are they going to do with the music?

Looks like Seth MacFarlane animated it. Wish I had sound on this computer...

Forgive me for being out of the loop, but is there actually a big-budget remake of "Akira" in the works? And if so, how can a sabotage the production?

Mediocre cartoon/comic-to-live action adaptations so far:
Mach Go Go Go (Speed Racer)
Devilman
The Flintstones
Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star)
Dudley Do-Right
Rocky and Bullwinkle
Transformers
Dick Tracey
Archie
Garfield

I probably missed a lot, but the point is there are more misses than hits in that category.

Edit: I did NOT say a bad word! >:O
