guys, has anyone here watched this show?

Post by coolray85 »

I think this is a marvelous project.some men thought to themselves there has never been a proper realization to life action of our favourite story (street fighter) so let's try to make a great show.

I loved playing street fighter as a kid and still have fond memories of the characters and some of the comics (getting snaps of the background story to each fighter was a blast I remember)....
so, I ordered it for a good prize....

has anyone here watched this already?what did you think about it?

greetings,

mars

Is this it? http://www.streetfighteraf.com/

I never played the game.
There was also an animated series back in the 1990s.

Looks interesting though....

Thanks for sharing.

yes, the link is correct.Im sorry I forgot to include it in the first post.

it is both actually..it was conceived as a television mini series containing 6 episodes.when capcom (the video game company that produces the street fighter games) came aboard and bought the distribution right they split the episodes up into 12 pieces.
this, to my knowledge, was broadcast as a web series in a youtube channel and then found its way onto television.
the product that we see here as a blu ray/dvd release is edited together and forms a 2 and a half hours movie!reviews are very positive for the most part.
I love the fact that it is done by fans and is successful, too.
it was officially announced recently that a follow up season is in production by the same gentlemen.this follow up is called street fighter:world warrior.slated for release at the end of 2015, early 2016...

Ha! Same here. Blew a lot of money on that game at the arcade as a kid. I'll have to check out the show.

okay, guys, I have seen the movie now and hence can give a little review on it.
this is in my oppinion a very well made movie!I was hooked from the first minute and never got tired of it through the whole 2 and a half hours.even my girl friend liked it;)very much.
what makes it stand out to me is that it is a character driven piece.finally people are doing a movie of a franchise that they really care about and that they know from the inside out.
the music holds some nice moments for lovers of the old games as well;)
I am so glad that I stumbled over this project and can now follow it through its next steps.hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we did!

cheers!

by the way, I was never really good at the game either;)but it entertained me with its interesting characters, their designs etc.and it is just incredible fun to play;)in the movie ken and ryu also get a nes game as a gift and then compete in front of the tv;)that was a nice touch...you'll see it...

it would be so sweet if someone like that made an usagi movie perhaps...I don't need one actually, love the comics to death, but if there was going to be one Id wish for people like this to get a go at it!...
