Hello! New fan of Usagi!
Hello everyone! I'm a new fan of Usagi Yojimbo from South Carolina. Just recently got into the comics after picking up a copy of Usagi Yojimbo Saga Book 1 from my library. Got to say I'm now a huge fan of the series. And while I'm hopeful for tomoe and Usagi romance, my number 1 romance for Usagi is for him to be with Kitsune.
And I'm writer by the way. Taking a bit of a break from writing superhero stories, so I might write a bit of Usagi fanfics for y'all to read. Well back to reading some more usagi!

Hey PK (sorry, PalmettoKnight1 was just too long to type out this late at night)
Welcome to the Usagi yojimbo Dojo! Always nice to see new faces around and read posts from others who are just discovering the fantastic world of the ronin rabbit which Stan Sakai has created for all us comic fans.
Abayo,
Steve

Re: Hello! New fan of Usagi!
Welcome
Now you just need to find a copy of the Fantagraphics boxset released a couple of years back to fill in all the stories prior to Saga volume #1
(which won't be hard, but depends on how much you want to spend!)

Welcome Brother (Sister?) to all things Usagi! This site is a haven for those of us happily obsessed with all things Usagi! I found Usagi about a year ago and have been overwhelmingly hooked ever since and now my five kids and wife are also hooked! But I must say that it is a great addiction to have!
See you around the site!

Hi PK and welcome to the Dojo. It's nice to see that Usagi-san is still bringing in fresh faces!
Have a seat, grab some onigiri and a cup of ocha, and enjoy your time here.

Always great to have a new fan of Usagi here. Thanks for joining. If you haven't already checked out the main Usagiyojimbo.com page there are a lot of great background and interviews there. Enjoy! Peace, maka

Re: Hello! New fan of Usagi!
Glad to have you here! I'm a relative newcomer to the world of Usagi and it's been fun working my way through the volumes. I just finished reading volume 20 (of the current 28 volumes, soon to be 29) and am about halfway through The Art of Usagi Yojimbo, but still have the Senso mini-series, Yokai and Space Usagi to read. I've also read 47 Ronin and The Adventures of Nilson Groundthumper and Hermy.
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Thank y'all for the welcomes! You know it doesn't matter how many times I read the comics, they never get old! I've also found a lot of Sataki's artwork online such as these:

And this one which I personally like: kitsune reminds me of Setskua from Soul Caliber.
what with the umbrella sword.
But again thank y'all for the warm welcomes!

That piece in question belongs to me... my preeeeeccccccciooussss... okay, slightly over the top there heh... but it was a fun commission request excellently rendered by Stan for SDCC one year.PalmettoKnight1 wrote:Thank y'all for the welcomes! (there was a shot of me holding it at SDCC taken by Todd (Shogun), but I don't think it's online anymore)

Of course, that piece will belong to me eventually since Mayhem has bequeathed it to me in his will......Mayhem wrote:That piece in question belongs to me... my preeeeeccccccciooussss... okay, slightly over the top there heh... but it was a fun commission request excellently rendered by Stan for SDCC one year.PalmettoKnight1 wrote:Thank y'all for the welcomes! But I'm sure it will eventually be donated to, and housed in, the Stan Sakai and Usagi Yojimbo Museum Collection

Wow! Cool! That must have been quite the experience! Funny thing happened while I was checking out this forum: I saw Stan come online! I had to refresh several times to make sure I wasn't imagining things! That was neat. Also question: has usagi ever kissed or been kissed by kitsune?

Re: Hello! New fan of Usagi!
Usagi has kissed, or been kissed (difference?) Miriko, Chizu and Tomoe if I remeber correctly but never Kitsune. She is an awful flirt and flirts with him all the time but I do not ever remember her kissing him. She did kiss Gen, though. And one caveat: I am NOT an Usagi scholar, at least not yet, so don't quote me!PalmettoKnight1 wrote:Mayhem wrote:That piece in question belongs to me... my preeeeeccccccciooussss... okay, slightly over the top there heh... but it was a fun commission request excellently rendered by Stan for SDCC one year.PalmettoKnight1 wrote:Thank y'all for the welcomes!
