I thought Spam lovers here might be interested in this, apparently Hawaii isn't the only place that it's big (and they use it for things kind of like Spam Musubi in South Korea, kimchi and Spam might go together surprisingly well):

This is interesting.
I lived in Korea, both as a civilian for a while prior to joining the military and then two different times with the Army for almost 5 years total and I never saw or had Spam there. Maybe I just do not remember it as I do not normally eat it or maybe it is a new thing? The first time there I lived with my instructor and ate all meals with him and his family for months.
I did see it a lot in Nepal when I lived there for three months. My wife, a vegetarian, actually got to the point where she was craving spam as I was on a climbing exp the last month I was there and she came and stayed at Base Camp and after a few weeks at 15,000 feet and cold, you just CRAVE fat and meat! Too funny!
