Help Please! or "Aidez-moi, s'il vous plaît!"

Post by maichan »

Hoping some French or European members might be able to help me out...

Trying to find a way to get a copy of DoggyBags volume 12 .

If anyone can point my in the right direction of where I might be able to order online, or if anyone in Europe can purchase and ship to me, I would appreciate your help.

Thanks go.

I did find the Comixology page on my own, but it seems to be for digital copies only.

My knowledge of French is zero, so I'm not sure if I can order from Amzon.fr directly. I'll have to investigate further when I get home and can log on to my Amazon account.

Try this link and go for the middle option? Says it will ship from New York...

Yes, because if you use the .COM site it inherently thinks you are in the US, and the seller is based in the UK. However, the seller states they have a US warehouse. This is NOT covered by the listing, and the postage is based on the seller being in the UK.

I order directly from the Amazon.fr site regularly without problems. International shipping on my most recent order was EUR 8,50 for a single item (newest French Usagi book ordered this past week).

If you use the Google Chrome browser, it has a great one click "translate this page" option when you right click the mouse on the page.

Ordering from Amazon "Marketplace" sellers on the foreign Amazon sites can be a hit or miss process since a lot of them will not ship internationally, even if they claim the book is already warehoused in the USA.

The sellers on the US Amazon page have pretty high negative feedback ratings to go with their high prices.

Abebooks has a few copies listed for sale as well here:

Thanks for the advice guys.

Steve, when you buy from Amazon.fr, do you log on with your .com account or need a new .fr account? I can't check this myself while at work...

Seems like it works from the same account, it has been quite a while since I first started buying from them.

An Amazon account is universal, the same email address and password will work on any of the country's site. Except Japan. They had to be different :P

LOL, that's one reason I asked. I also happen to have an Amazon JP account, so wasn't sure for the others.

I can confirm an Amazon account is universal and works for all local versions of Amazon.
If you don't manage to get it online, let me know, and I'll arrange for some friends/family in France to buy it for you.

Thank you for the offer Eltanin, but I gave Amazon.fr a try this evening and I was apparently able to order the issue. We'll find out if I receive it in a few weeks!
