I was happily surprised to find this at the comic shop last week...
Look on the cover...

I think I first stumbled across Atlas & Axis by accident while browsing Stuart Ng Books website a few months ago, and I was very intrigued by the art. However I held off buying any copies since it was in French only. Now it looks like we'll be seeing it in English! I'm hoping we'll see hardcovers too eventually. Anyone else picking up this neat book?

I'm pretty sure those characters appeared with Usagi in the Sakai Project. I think they were hiking in the snow.

I looked for it at the LCB store today but they probably didn't order it. I had to special order Titan Comics/Statix Press' The Beautiful Death, which looks nothing like this.

Let us know your review. Peace, maka

I got issue 2 a couple of weeks ago. I've read issue 1, but am holding off on reading any more issues until I have the complete run (so I can read the whole story at one sitting).
I like the art, I like the theme.
I like to story so far, although there was one or two spots where there was a jump in setting where the transition left me a bit confused at first.

Very cool covers. My LCBS didn't order this series. But that is better for my bank account.

Enjoy! Peace, maka

Here is the first issue cover variation by Pau. My local comic book store only had the Roman Dirge cover when it came out (the cover with the giant frog), so it took me a while to hunt this one down and I eventually found it in stock at mycomicshop.com.

I enjoy Pau's style very much.
Here's a sample page from issue one.

It's been a while since I last posted anything on Atlas & Axis, and since then issue 3 and 4 have come out, and a TPB containing the 4 issues has been released.

I've read all 4 issues and I still recommend it!
I also picked up the original French editions from Stuart Ng during their $10 a book sale on French books! I waited a little too long though & one issue was sold out so I had to buy it from Amazon.fr
The French books are hardcover and slightly larger than the English versions. There are 4 volumes to the French editions. Volume 1 & 2 are the same contents as the English TBP. I'm looking forward to the remaining editions being published in English.
