I bought this book when it came out. Mike Friedrich, a friend of mine, was the packager who brought it over to the US. Mike was also the founder and publisher of Star Reach, an early independent comic. It went on to represent comic book creators and their properties.

This book was my first introduction to the modern mangaka, including Hirata and Otomo. Even after more than 15 years, I am impressed whenever I look through the book.
