So I was hanging out with a friend of mine, who is a fellow otaku. About a year ago he went to Japan and got to do all the cool stuff one who loves Japan and the pop culture does. Anyway he told me about this very awesome arcade game they have set up in Akibenko. It is a online VR UC Gundam arcade game. Basically you buy a data card and after reading a hefty rules and safety book, presented to you by a merchant on duty dressed in Federation attire, you step into an actual Gundam cockpit. From there the screens come on all around you, 360 degrees. Once on you pick your side, Federation or Zeon, and then your Mobil Suit. You are then patched into a group of fellow players form all over Japan and set up a tactical attack for the missions you are presented. As you progress you gain points to buy new gear, weapons, armor, and even the ability to customize your MS or unlock special Characters Mobil Suits.
My friend had a great time on the game and said during the day it had a line around the shopping center. Maaaaaaan I want to try this game, why do we never get the really cool stuff in the states anymore.
TOBEI GUNDAMUUUUU!!! The Arcade!
