133 Yokai Statues on Mizuki Shigeru Road

Would it be great if there were a Stan Sakai road like this somewhere?

I wonder if this creature was an influence on the Pale Man from El laberinto del fauno.

I've always found this creature to be an interesting one. I remember coming across a book on Japanese mythology at some point during my childhood that had the Baku in it. I think it would be interesting to see it in a UY story. Apparenly, there's both a mythological version of the Baku and a real animal, sort of like the Tanuki. I didn't know that.
