Are you going to be there? If you are, I hope you have a great time.

Anime cons have been springing up like mushrooms. It seems you can find an anime con somewhere in the country on any given week. I'll be going to two such cons this year--Anime North in Toronto in May, and Anime Weekend Atlanta in September.

Me? Nah, I'll be too busy working and going to the comic show that's got Peter Laird & Mirage Studios in NH. I'm just spreading the word for anyone around the Bean.

Ooo! Atlanta? That's kindda close to Orlando! ... sortta... Well, it's not as impossibly far away as the west coast. (Although "west coast" usually refers to the gulf here in Florida^_^;) I SO wish I could make it. But it would be a miracle if I could :cry:

You're right about the anime conventions though! (Not that I'm complaining about their relative plentitude) We have 2 in Orlando. The JACON (late April to Early May) and Anime Festival Orlando (sometime in August) For that matter, even the Megacon boasts a pretty big anime following.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy your local anime convention mushroom^_^

It's the closest Stan has come to Orlando in years. Only a 7-8 hour drive.

I’ve been to a few of the Megacons and there seemed to be a lot of Cosplay going on :o

You know, I haven't been in the last few years, but I'm not surprised to hear they have a lot of cosplay there. Judging from the JACON, our local otaku must be a gifted bunch of tailors because it seems more common to find people in costume than in normal clothes^_^;
