Hey Joe,
Dogs have been very popular and prominent in comics and cartoons for a long time. Since it has been a long time since I've read (or watched) any superhero series, I'll leave that part for someone else.

Along the lines of Scooby Doo, Hanna Barbara produced a lot of series which had dogs in them, some of them most likely because Scooby Doo was such a success.

Here is a list of ten cartoon dogs from Hanna Barbara:
1. Scooby Doo
2. Scooby Dum
3. Scrappy Doo
4. Elmo (Funky Phantom)
5. Dynomutt
6. Hong Kong Phooey
7. Astro (Jetsons)
8. Bandit (Jonny Quest)
9. Braveheart (Inch High Private Eye)
10. Goober (Goober and the Ghost chasers)

Krypto was a member of an all-dog intergalactic superhero group, though I forget the group's name. They had a song that went something like, "Big Dog, Big Dog, bow wow wow." Big Dog refers to the Dog Star Sirius (I think). I remember one dog was Tusky Husky, who had the power to elongate his tooth. There was a collie in there as well. That might be the one you are thinking of.

Joe,
I ran a google search on "Tusky Husky" and came up with quite a few results, some of which were about the new Krypto cartoon series.

The link above the picture in my earlier post is to a page with a good article about the older group which was called the Space Canine Patrol Agency.

I found that image on another forum board. The majority of the images I post are things I've found posted on the internet. Some things (like the image below) are things I scanned.

ok i found a site full of superman's pets. it feature kolli.she only appear once. and shortly she got ran off by Braniac's spaceship. that was sad because my dog got ran off too a long time ago.so ace the bathound appear more then kolli.i don't know what superboy graphic novel she appear.but i guess that's her in dog star patrol in krypto the superdog cartoon. i think she is Mammoth Mutt since their both small pink dogs. i don't know kolli's powers.but i'm sure Mammoth Mutt is kolli.i wonder if they did any graphic novels base on the dog star patrol.
