Well, it seems that after the runaway success of Ode to Kirihito, Vertical Inc. announced that they're in the midst of releasing yet another mature literary manga by Tezuka.

This time, the manga in question is Apollo's Song, a tragic tale that mixes romance, fantasy and science fiction together into a unique story that is pure Tezuka.

The basic plot revolves around Shogo Chikaishi, a jaded young man whose mother's promiscuous lifestyle has caused him to doubt whether or not a human being can truly love another. After being taken away from the custody of his mother and put into the care of Dr. Enoki, he enters the world of dream and meets the Goddess of Love, who decides to show that love DOES exist by making him experience several times in different periods of the past and future.....each time fallling in love and each time losing them.

According to the official Tezuka website, Tezuka Osamu @World, this story deals a lot with the essence of sex and love between two people. Furthermore, it was made during the 70s age of manga, where boys' manga was filled with sex and violence. Therefore, it'll probably have a good deal of both (though tasteful) within its pages, so parents take note.

The cover will look like this........Image

It has a release date of June 7, 2007.....so mark your calenders Tezukaphiles!
