Re: The Gallery of Maichan
It's been a while since I've added anything, but I am now the proud owner of another Usagi Yojimbo original thanks to a trade with Stan.... thank you Stan!!

It will go up on the wall beside my two quick sketches...

But I'd like some feedback from my fellow Dojo members first: Suggestions as to framing - should I keep it the same as my other two pieces, or should it be different? Something larger? Different colors? Any suggestions, thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated.

Nice! Congratulations on your new COLOR piece! Love it!
I like the idea of matching frames. But in the end, you know your space and budget best. Peace, maka

Thanks Maka! My design tastes and sense of creativity aren't that great, that why I wanted to ask for input from fellow members. Feel free to make suggestions if you think something would look better.Maka wrote:Nice! Congratulations on your new COLOR piece! Love it!

The watercolor is about the same size as the sketches, but I was wondering of the same size frame might be too small? But maybe the next size up would be too big? These are ready made frames from Aaron Brothers and I had their frame department mat and mount the pieces.

One heck of a trade.
I like the clean look of the two sketches. That's how I would like to frame my art if I ever get around to it.
I'm afraid to leave an irreplaceable piece at art one of those shops. But that's just me and my paranoia.

Great looking pieces!
About the only consistancy I have followed with my frames is in color. All my frames are black. Wish I could afford to matte all my pieces.

Yes, I'm always very nervous about leaving something with them, but it's turned out to be worth it each time!Gaffey wrote:One heck of a trade.

I think I'll go with a matching frame and mat board.... at least it'll be consistent.

It's always neat to see sketches of characters other than Usagi.
I have an Inspector Ishida in one of my books.

Cool! What was the Nilson Groundthumper and Hermy sketch drawn with?

I was just looking through this thread and wanted to say that your art collection is very impressive and awesome! I really like your "seasons" pieces.
