My MacBook Pro (named Usagi, of course), has been laser-etched with artwork of his namesake, with Stan's permission.

The etching was done by Adafruit Industries: http://www.adafruit.com/laser/

I have a personal gallery already in place, that thumbnails and otherwise handles all my photos for me. It can be viewed at:

http://www.psi-13.com/gallery2/v/Geoffrey/Usagi/

But as a sample of what you will find, here's a thumbnail or three: :wink:

Wow, that is awesome. Where did you get the etching done, if you don't mind me asking?

Nevermind...Saw the adfruit link on your page...stupid me..

Actually, that is a valid question - worth editing my post for. Will do that now.

Thank you!

So, how much does an etching like that cost?

$100 for a laptop-sized object, $30 for an iPod sized object. (I have plans for the iPod - Jotaro - to get its namesake art soon.)

The trick is, he'll only take walk-ins, and he's in Manhattan. I think there's other places that will do it, though.

Hello,
and welcome to the Dojo;
Pretty cool. That makes it easier to recognize in case of a theft, right?! And it's really looking good on it.

Would you name your desktop computer Katsuichi or ... hey, I've just found we don't know the name of Miyamoto Usagi's father..!!
Anyway, nevermind...

I guess you'll get a lot of questions asked with that nice-looking artwork on your labtop.

Yeah, really. "Missing - one 17" Mac Laptop, with a samurai rabbit etched on it." Somewhat unique.

The server I'll be getting soon will be named after a non-Usagi character, though, as Ill be naming it after a D&D Bard (Being it's a multimedia / iTunes server). 8)
