Firstly, I would like to thank Stan for drawing one of my favorite characters ever (not just in Usagi Yojimbo). Strong female characters are hard to find nowadays and Tomoe can stand up with the best of them.

I also must thank John H for his generosity in providing Usagi fans like me (who aren't able to see Stan at conventions) the opportunity to own a piece of original art. I am extremely grateful for this sketch and I will always treasure it.

There are two scans because my scanner isn't that great and it couldn't capture a crisp scan with all the details.

Image

This scan is clean because of the "black & white" setting on my scanner. It was the best looking of all the settings.

Image

This scan is more detailed in that one can see the initial pencil marks that Stan made, but there is some light leakage on the sides.

My brothers went to Kawaii-Kon 2009 and got some of our TPB collection signed and drawn in.

Thanks again Stan and John H!

Very nice.
I got Stan to sign my book 3 as well as it was the first Usagi book I ever picked up.

Same here. As a kid I walked into a comic store with my dad and the cover of Book 3 instantly grabbed my attention. It's still one of my favorite TPBs of the entire series.

Wonderful! Composition of them two, the drifting ginko-leafes in the wind, great scene...

After reading the entire Saga 1 today, I found a surprise on the corner of the final page!

Seriously... that is why Mr. Sakai is my favorite comic creator. He treats his fans so well! Thank you! :D
